Two Days A Month Wasted On the Internet

More than two-thirds of UK Internet surfers in this research admit to occasionally surfing the web aimlessly. Nearly one-third admit to do this more then 30 percent of the time they are online at work.

So what are these people searching for?
Sporting events pose a particular lure for workers, particularly men. At the end of February, on the eve of the NCAA basketball tournament known as "March Madness," Websense reported that employee productivity in the U.S. was threatened by a 31 percent increase in traffic at online sports sites and a startling 56 percent increase at gambling sites.

Now this new phenomenon has also been given a name, “wilfing” which stands for What Was Looking For). Good name for an endless internet surfing for nothing.
Also according to a British market research firm this ”wilfing” phenomenon is becoming a national epidemic.
