Google has just won the right to sell ads on 400 Chinese websites owned by China Telecom, and thereby also kicked Microsoft’s and Chinese search engine Baiudu.com’s ass, on the Chinese online advertising market.
The effect of this market share Google has the opportunity to make even more money on the Chinese advertising market, which is worth billions.
The profit from this new advertising deal will be shared between Google and China Telecom.
By the end of 2006 China had 137 million internet users, so that’s a lot of people watching ads.
